What is Data Modeling?

Data modeling in Power BI is the process of creating relationships between different data tables to organize and structure information for analysis and visualization.

Fact Table :

A fact table is a central table in a data warehouse that contains numbers and measurements, like sales amounts or quantities.

Example: A sales table with columns for sales amount, quantity sold, and sales date.

Dimension Table :

A Dimension Table holds descriptive information, like product names or customer details.

Example: A product table with columns for product name, category, and brand.

Star Schema:

Star Schema is a set-up in which the fact table is placed in the centre surrounded by dimension tables resembling the design of a star
